In the finale of the 1st Annual Pennsylvania Kickoff Classic, Justin King took the handoff on the 2nd play from scrimmage and dashed 84 yards for a quick 7-0 Gators lead 19 seconds into the game. The Gators then stomped to a massive 34-0 halftime lead on the Woodland Hills Wolverines using a powerful offense and brick-wall defense that yielded ZERO "0" 1st half yardage. Behind 188 yards rushing and 4 TD's by #1 RB Justin King, the Gators dealt WH one of their worst losses in school history, and worst margin of loss since 1997.

In addition to King, strong offensive performances were turned in by QB Aaron Smith (97 yards passing and 69 yards rushing) and the Gator "O" line. The "Fearsome Five" Gator linebackers - turned in an awesome performance, generating several sacks, two fumbles, an interception and numerous tackles in the backfield. The Gators also became the first team to invoke the PIAA "Mercy Rule" on Woodland Hills since it's inception in the mid 1980's.
