Dedication

This site is dedicated to two of our personal friends and former Gateway family:

Ed Dalton, a well-loved Sax player who attended South Junior High School, and then Gateway High School from 1981 to 1985, and relocated in the middle of his senior year (and football season) to the Atlanta, GA area. Ed was well-known and loved by his classmates --- "Everybody knew and wanted to know Ed". Sadly, Ed passed away in 1998 after a fight with Leukemia.

Mr. John Sgroi, long-time Assistant Principal at South Junior High and Gateway High School, a good friend and visionary who founded the Gateway High School Video Club and pioneered the live broadcast of Gateway Football games from the roof of the old rickety pressbox back in the early 1980's. Mr. Sgroi passed on in the early 1990's.
