Dorian Bell rushes for 121 yards and 1 TD, Brian Williams adds 85 yards and 2 TD's. Corey Brown catches 2 TD passes from QB Kalkstein who passed for 150 yards. Gateway led 21-9 at halftime. First time Gateway beat Penn Hills twice in one season. |

Gators missed all three extra point attempts. In the 2nd half, Gateway established the running game and Orne Bey led the Gators to victory with 136 yards rushing and 2 TD's. Going into the game, Penn Hills was ranked as high as #17 nationally, and #1 in the WPIAL. Penn Hills started a soph. QB. The game was selected as a "Rivalry Game" by the Air Force, and Orne Bey was named game MVP, and the Gators received a special "Rivalry" trophy courtesy of the Air Force after winning the game. |
11/13/2009 | Penn Hills | 35-3 | W | N | Game played at Norwin Stadium Rob Kalkstein threw for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns to lead the top-seeded Gators (11-0) to a convincing victory over the ninth-seeded Indians (5-6) in a quarterfinal game played at Norwin High School. The victory earns Gateway its third consecutive semifinal berth. Kalkstein, who completed 8 of 14 passes, connected with Brendon Felder on touchdown passes of 83 and 38 yards. He also threw a 54-yard scoring strike to Armstead Williams. Felder had three receptions for 121 yards. Felder also scored on a 2-yard run. The Gators also scored on a 17-yard run by Markie'd Jones. Penn Hills scored its only points on a 25-yard field goal by Eric Vincent in the second quarter. Game was played on a clear night, 55 degrees, and stadium was 2/3rds full. |

10/14/2010 | Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 7-21 | L | A | Game played at Carnegie Mellon University #1 PCC showed its power and depth by dominating the Gators 21-7 Thursday night, marking the 8th straight loss to PCC dating back to 1996. Central's all-star roster, led by six seniors on the line, QB Ellis (197 yards passing) and three excellent running backs led by FB Luster (Penn Hills) had their way both offensively and defensively with the Gators. The Gators were held to -6 yards offense in the 1st half and 13 yards total rushing, before scoring with 18 seconds left in the game to avoid the shutout. |
11/12/2010 | Pittsburgh Central Catholic | 0-10 | L | N | Game played at Plum High School PCC takes a 10-0 half time lead. Midway through the 4th quarter, Darrell Turner picks off a PCC pass at the PCC 40. Gators drive to the 2 yard line and have 1st and goal from the 2. Gators are stopped on four consecutive running plays up the middle and turn the ball over to PCC at the half-yard line. Game played on a cool 38 degree evening with clear skies. Gateway has now lost 9 in a row to PCC dating back to 1996. PCC dresses approximately 100 players, Gateway dresses around 50. |

9/23/2011 | Penn-Trafford | 14-16 | L | A | Despite holding star PT RB Manny Simpson to his lowest output of the year (134 yards), and outgaining PT offensively, the Gators were unable to hold a 14-13 lead with 1:51 to play and lost on a 31 yard FG with 6 seconds left. |
11/11/2011 | Penn-Trafford | 34-9 | W | N | Game played at Hempfield Gateway did most of its damage on the ground paced by Andre Martin's 111 yards on 13 carries. Quarterback Thomas Woodson added 10 carries for 70 yards and Darin Franklin chipped in with 6 carries for 62 yards. Franklin started the Gateway scoring with a 30-yard touchdown run on a fourth down play with 1:12 to play in the first quarter. He added an 86-yard punt return in the second quarter to put Gateway up 14-0. Franklin did not play in the second half due to knee soreness. Gateway (9-2) assumed command in the second half with a 12-play, 65-yard drive that took 5:20 off the clock to start the third quarter. A 3-yard touchdown run by Patrick Livsey made the score 21-3 and Gateway never looked back. Penn Trafford (10-1) was led on the ground by Quarterback Zach Emerick's 95 yards on 12 carries. Manny Simpson added 71 yards on 23 carries. Gateway's defense pressured Emerick throughout the evening, holding the Penn Trafford quarterback to 38 yards passing. |
