Gators turn the ball over twice inside the 5 yard line, and only have a 7-0 halftime score. In the 2nd half, the Gators pull away and shut out the Titans behind an impressive defensive performance. RB Brian Williams rushes for nearly 200 yards, and RB Dorian Bell scores 3 TD's. |
25 | 11/4/2011 | 52-13 | W | H | Gateway scored 20 1st quarter points on its way to a 52-13 win. RB Franklin capped off the opening drive with a 1yd run. Shaler went 3 and out and Cody Conway blocked J.P. Holtz’ kick and Graham Davis recovered the ball in the end zone to put Gateway up 14-0. Devantae Butler picked off a pass and Patrick Livsey would make that turnover hurt by scoring on a 2yd run. QB Woodson scored on a 26yd run in the 2nd quarter and Franklin and Livsey would add their 2nd TD runs of the first half for a 38-0 halftime lead. Brian Jones added a pair of second half TD runs. Shaler had 151 yards passing however most of those yards were after the Gators started subbing out the starters. Gateway’s scoreless streak was snapped at 165:24 minutes. Franklin finished with 107-yards rushing for Gateway, all in the first half, as the Gators rushed for 293-yards as a team. |
