In the 2nd half, most of the 1st team played only the first series, and then Gateway started subbing in players. The Warriors kept their starting offense in the ENTIRE game and were able to generate a second touchdown against the Gators with 1:11 on the clock to make the final 51-14.

The Gators, who have scored 198 points in their last four games, saw four players score two touchdowns apiece. Orne Bey dashed to scoring runs of 55 and 49 yards in the first quarter, and Brendon Felder later added runs of 15 and 80 yards. Markie'd Jones scored both of Gateway's second-half touchdowns on runs of 4 and 15 yards. Rob Kalkstein connected with Steve Vranka on two touchdowns, one from 66 yards and the other from 5 yards. During the pregame warmup, the rain showers ended... and then right at the opening kickoff, heavy rains started, and it rained hard the entire 1st half. Rain stopped at halftime and 2nd half was rain free.
